Yng Nghaerdydd y mae Anne Gibbs yn gweithio. Fe astudiodd gelfyddyd gain, gan arbenigo mewn gwneud printiau (1994) ac mae ganddi radd meistr mewn serameg.
Mae cerfluniaeth Anne yn gain, yn gymhleth ac ar raddfa fechan. Gyda’I gilydd bydd ei gwaith yn ffurfio gosodiadau pen-bwrdd tra-chywir. Bydd ymateb i gasgliadau, defnyddiau ac egwyddorion trefnu’n brif ystyriaethau yn ei harfer. Bydd yn caffael eitemau gwneud a rhai naturiol o ystod eang o ffynonellau ac yna cânt eu castio mewn clai hylif tsieni asgwrn. Caiff pob darn unigol ei altro drwy broses ac fe gyfunir y cydrannau weithiau â weiren, edau neu binnau i greu crychiadau amwys.

Anne Gibbs is based in Cardiff, she studied fine art, specialising in printmaking (1994) and has a master’s degree in ceramics.
Anne Gibbs sculpture is delicate, intricate and small scale. Together her work forms precise table-top installations. Responding to collections, materials and organising principles are main concerns in her practice. She acquires man - made and natural objects from a wide range of sources which are then cast in bone china liquid clay. Each individual piece is altered by a process and componants are sometimes combined with wire, thread or pins to create ambiguous gatherings.



Fe ddechreuodd ein myfyrwyr Codi’r Bar drwy ymateb i’r casgliadau o wrthrychau gwneud a defnyddiau naturiol drwy arlunio casgliadau â ffyn ac inc yn unigol ac yn gydweithredol.
Our Raising The Bar students began by responding to collections of man - made objects and natural materials by drawing collections with sticks and ink both individually and collaboratively.





Gan ddefnyddio clai llestri pridd fe ddechreuodd y myfyrwyr ddod yn gyfarwydd â’r clai, yn ymarfer coilio, llunio â llaw a slab.
Using earthen ware clay the students began becoming familiar with the clay, practising coiling, hand and slab building.


Yna fe ddechreuon nhw ar y broses heriol o drosi eu darlun 2D yn ffurf tri dimensiynol.
They then began the challenging process of translating their 2D drawing into a three dimensional form.


I baratoi ar gyfer y dosbarth meistr dilynol gofynnodd Ann I’r myfyrwyr ystyried lliw gan gofnodi drwy ffotograffiaeth neu frasluniau ddarnau o liw a chyfuniadau o liw i ysbrydoli.
Cafodd y myfyrwyr eu hannog i sleisio eu ffurfiau, torri tyllau, defnyddio sgraffito, ystyried fflachiadau o liw, altro ac ychwanegu ond yn bwysicach na dim meddwl a gweithredu’n greadigol a chyda dychymyg. Cawsant eu cyflwyno i artistiaid a gwneuthurwyr fel Bronwen Grieves, Ruth Duckworth a Derek Wilson.

In preparation for the following masterclass Anne requested that the students consider colour by recording through photography or sketches fragments of colour and colour combinations to inspire.
The students were encouraged to slice their forms, cut holes, use sgraffito, consider flashes of colour, alter and add but above all think and act creatively and imaginatively. They were introduced to artists and makers such as Bronwen Grieves, Ruth Duckworth and Derek Wilson.





Roedd y gweithiau gorffenedig yn archwilio ystod o ddulliau a hynny’n eu gwneud yn addas i ffurfio grwpiadau bychan a threfniadau.
The finished works explored a range of approaches and began to lend themselves to small groupings and arrangements.
